At the same time, the Foundation set up a special committee, to perform a scientific review on The Consumption of Sugar-Sweetened Beverages (SSB) and its Implications on Health Outcomes in Indonesia. This activity is in line with the growing concern on the increasing consumption of SSB among the mainstream Indonesians, which, to some extent, contributes to the escalating incidence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) like type-2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome.
